The most recent Temporary Labour Working Group (TLWG) audit took place on 12th December 2015. The next is in AMy 2015. The TLWG is a voluntary process which was designed to help businesses prepare for licensing.

As of April 6th 2006, the Gangmaster Licensing Authority was set up to accept applications for licenses. As from 1st October 2015 it will be an offence to operate without a license.

The voluntary TLWG scheme has now been superseded by the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA) and as a result you should contact them directly to apply for your license. For clarification of the scope of the Gangmasters Licensing Act 2004 and whether your company will need to apply for a license you should also contact the GLA.

In order to decide if your TLWG/REC approved audit can be classed as successful you may need to undergo a verification visit by the GLA. The purpose of this visit is to check that you have resolved the issues rose during your original TLWG tax audit. The visit conducted by GLA staff is entirely free of charge.

Once you a Refurbished Laptop have demonstrated you have addressed these issues to a satisfactory standard, your TLWG audit will be classified as successful and you will be able to apply for your license without being subject to an application inspection.
